fit for a queen

well not exactly, a real queen but I am afterall the queen of my ...domain
but this I created for the QUEEN OF MY CRAFTROOM...

here is the crown that will be fit for a queen when I am completely done but I thought you may like to play around with the idea too....just think of the possibilities here...

I love this - I love the points  and the details on this piece of LACE ---yep you read it right LACE - I used just 1 yard of lace and if you are a regular at Joannes you know that they have a serious selection of LACE to choose from and if you use that 40% off coupon you can get a yard of really nice stuff for around 3.00 or 4.00 bucks. Sweet right and if you are careful in deciding the size you can get 2 crowns from the 1 yard.

so here is the lace, that I laid out on to wax paper then used some of this

ALEEN'S QUICK STIFFNER - I gotta tell you something...I bought some spray stiffner and it DID NOT work - I think I would have needed to spray 1/2 the bottle before it took - which I didn't want to...
So I just poured this stuff over the lace as it laid owver the wax paper then I "scrunched" it up in my hand then laid it over a coffee can to hold the shape. NOTE: I may or may NOT have used a can with a paper label and said label may or may NOT have stuff to the crown....so make sure the vessel you use is clean & label free. (leave on over night)  in the morning I took the crown off and then used hot glue to to seal the joint...

And here is the QUEEN of my craft room--ITS LOLA---and doesn't she look STUPENDOUS!!! and it couldn't have been easier!!@!

Although this looks great as is (if I do say so myself) but I plan on "DOING HER UP" adding some GLITTER and some rosettes and really making her POP...

I hope you try this bit of LUXE for either, you or a favorite prop...I added this to my WHERE BLOGGER CREATE studio tour in July --- in her full glory.

I am linking this up to the following weekly challenges:

have a great Sunday!!!
