BELIEVE Disney Mini album

Remember I mentioned in my last post that I made a bunch of cool little things out of that Say Cheese! paper kit - Well here is a mini 4 x 4 paper bag album - that came out super cute. The photos don't really do it justice - I think I need a new camera.
The bottom page on the left I used a small photo chipboard frame with some other embellishments surrounding it to give a finished look.

cute right?

Below is another set of pages that really make this album scream *DISNEYLAND*

But wait there's more....
until next time!

Say Cheese

Ordered this kit months ago and I guess due to its popularity took forever to arrive but man once I got it - I went to town!

I made 2 back to back double sided layouts, 4 cards, 1 mini 4 x 4 paper bag album and 1 project life like chipboard album!

And I have lots left over! I'll be sharing the rest of the items I made over the next few days! The first thing I want to share is this card - that I think would be fun to give to someone who is being surprised with a Disneyland or Disney world trip!!! It's super cute and totally obvious. - what do you think?

Lovely lace

All my kids have dream catchers in their room. When they were little it was part of our nighttime ritual - after prayers I would spin it and say "DREAM CATCHER DREAM CATHCHER CATCH ALL THEIR BAD DREAMS" now I don't have to physically spin it; just include it in prayer time!

I figured perhaps I could create a "grown up version" of the Dream Catcher🔆

So here's my first try....

You need some lace, ribbons beads and threads in coordinating colors. I have these metal rings that I found in my Hoard- but you could use embroidery hoops 2 for one - 😊 cool!

Step one: wrap the ring with some lace ribbon then hot glue it down (just the end pieces...then glue small dots of the lace or doily around the ring finally add your ribbon dangles with beads - use coordinating ribbon colors and threads to finish it off!

I think this would look amazing in different colors. Make it match your room decor!

The possibilities are endless!

Red White and Blue

Oh how I love to sew! Straight line sewing that is...I wish I could really see as in make clothes and quilt but alas I will stick to scrappy sewing!

In honor of the Fourth of July I wanted to share a sweet and super easy project made using Scraps!

You will need some scraps of fabric in the following colors: red, white & blue and some bits of ribbon and some lace.

I used a a base fabric like some Muslin to see onto. I first started off with the rows of blue fleece & ribbon bits and sewed them down in rows not really worrying about things laying perfectly straight. Once I had things laying like I liked I free hand stitched all over the top to help make it lay flat!!!

Then I free hand cut out stars from some thick lace and stitched them to the blue.

Then came the bottom part - I used bits of burlap, ric rac, and some seam binding...and just stitched across the top only because I wanted it to flow and go with the breeze (should a freak wind kick up suddenly in this heat)

I love the shabby look of it. It Looks handmade and that's the look I was going for, (wink wink)

I decided that this would be something I leave out year around to show our support for the most amazing people who fight for our freedom and those who have fought in the past!

Feeling proud to be an American!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

July already?

Wait what happened to June? Oh my goodness, I must have fallen off the face of the Earth for a month. Funny thing is that even though I haven't been blogging I have still been very crafty.

I have been busily making fun scrapbooks made from chipboard...the most recent collection I made was a set of SCHOOL days albums. That are perfect for end of year celebrations and teachers gifts.

I am loving the fun graphics on this cover.

the inside is so fun and can totally be used for little kids memories or as a sweet teachers gift.

Love the primary colors and the cool graphics on the die cuts.

I think I like it...

Here is another end of school album - totally different take and made from a paper bag...

I think this one would work for some middle school kids and maybe even High school, maybe...

Something about these school albums makes me feel nostalgic..

Cute right?

anyway see this past month has kept me busy and vacationing so now back to the norm and more crafty projects to share.

Happy Hump Day...
