Never too soon

Not sure if you all do planning - I have kids so I plan ahead, with school functions and vacations I need to keep things on schedule. With that in mind, I thought I probably should get my crafting down on a planner so that I can keep things going with the seasons per se' So I am a step ahead here because I have started a bit early. I have this newly listed paper bag album in time for your upcoming grade school, middle school, high school and even colleges graduations.

I used papers and embellishments by Doodlebug designs the "Graduation" line and isn't the album the cutest? If you would like to see all the photos for this album please visit my shop here is the link for that

Happy Crafting and PLanning

Have jumped on the planner wave---I have and suddenly I have more planners then I know what to do with. But I use them every week. Even if it is only to decorate and keep mental notes of things to do or things that happened.

this is this weeks planner layout...I like to make things colorful and added what I knew was happening and will add more info as it happens.

It's fun and technically works as a journal in a way since you are documenting what is going on in your life.  Cool idea right?

Happy Crafting and documenting.

Easter ideas

We usually have a nice Easter lunch at our house followed by an egg hunt and while we aren't fancy and formal I do like to craft fancy at times

Take for instance these sweet eggs

While we have a casual brunch setting or as we like to say grab and go grazing these sweet place markers would beautify any Easter table.

All you need are wooden eggs with flat bottoms some paint - I used metallics, glitter, flower posies and some small photo anchors then just get to making

You could use photos of your guests or a beautifully scripted name card and then each person could take theirs home as a gift... Or not 😀
I have these listed in my shop in case you love them so!!!

Happy Spring crafting

Rainbows & sunshine

Another example of how I use the HECK out of one paper kit. This is my 3rd album - you can visit my Instagram account (@onecraftymess) to see the other albums I created using the same paper kit...

This is the cover I made using chipboard and o-wires to bind it...

Inside pages are super happy

And cheerful

Great 6 x 6 size too

I live how these all came out and best part is there still so many pieces left over.

I am working on making some cards with the left over pieces.

I'll share them when I am done with those.

I mean doesn't this album just scream HAPPY to you?

Ok so until next time. Happy crafting

To own a farm has long been a dream of mine. I envy those that live #farmTOtable and long to participate and do the same. However, I live in a suburb where we are so close together that to farm anything is hard. Don't get me wrong around our city there are still a few large farms that are mostly cow farms - but slowly housing developements are taking over - insert sad face...Every year my kids plant seeds and we some growth but because the weather is always so hot and dry in the summer its almost inevitable that they DIE> And we will try again this year. Ok, so what does this have to do with anything???

I recently bought the paper kit called #HeartlandFarm by #AmericanCrafts and it is filled with paper that reminds me of quilts and colors you'd see around a farm house - so I decided to make a sweet chipboard album using the papers and embellishments and devoting the album to those farmers that make what they eat...a tribute of sorts...

Oh how I dream to own such a beautiful red barn...

Happy and colorful papers right?

Not sure canning is my thing nor would it be if I had a farm - I just don't like canned food - or pickled veggies.

flowers - oh flowers how I wish I could grow them.

Fun pages - so that you can document your process or the fun times shared eating the delicious fruits of your labor.

Aren't the pages fun?

Had to send a little love to all the guys out there too - this is my husbands dream owning a John Deer and riding it on our property.

It's not bad to have dreams this late in life right...what would the point of growing old be without a few things to work towards or aim for.

All in all I really want a farm and I look forward to all the hard work of it and enjoying eating clean and living farm to table...

Here's to all the farmers out there - big or small and to all those already living the "GOOD" life.
