Most Egg-cell ent

Wanted to share an easy and meaningful idea for you to share with loved ones this Easter. Also, it’ll be a sure momento that someone will treasure for always...at least I’m hoping.

Crafty girl idea #10

For this project I used wooden eggs that I bought in the Target dollar spot, paint, modgepodge and stickers

First paint the eggs all th colors

Once the paint dried, I noticed that the colors weren’t pastel enough - so I added white to each color and lightened the eggs up to just what I wanted.

You can see the difference here.

Once the eggs dried I added Polk-a-dots but you could add strips or leave them plain

I add dots with the end of a paint brush

And here they are all done - pretty right?

Because I want to give these to my kids in their Easter bag...I decided to personalize them for each kid and usd some stickers with phrases on them I already had.

Here’s a tip: the stickers are stiff so when I peeled them off I kind of bent them or curved them so they would be easier to adhere then I added the modge podge to the sticker back and on the egg and went over the sticker a bit then used my fingers to push it down... be patient because they will lift and appear to not want to stick down but they do.

Once the sticker is laying down flat, add the glue to the entire egg and wait for the drying and look how incredibly amazing they look.

I have another good idea to share on how I will package these babies up. Come back soon

If You try this - tag me so I can check them out please.

Easter ideas

We usually have a nice Easter lunch at our house followed by an egg hunt and while we aren't fancy and formal I do like to craft fancy at times

Take for instance these sweet eggs

While we have a casual brunch setting or as we like to say grab and go grazing these sweet place markers would beautify any Easter table.

All you need are wooden eggs with flat bottoms some paint - I used metallics, glitter, flower posies and some small photo anchors then just get to making

You could use photos of your guests or a beautifully scripted name card and then each person could take theirs home as a gift... Or not 😀
I have these listed in my shop in case you love them so!!!

Pom Pom Session 3

O.k. so a few days ago I shared my newest ideas for using pom poms...I think I may have a slight obsession with them. (ya think) anyway - this one happened upon me actually. I found a box of stuff I had made last Spring for a craft show - (stuff unsold) sadly. But some cute stuff frankly and I found these cuties...

I mean really - do they come any cuter?
Just 2 mini pom poms glued to each other and some fun little felt accents and 2 black glass beads for eyes...

each one nicely perched in their own nest inside a peet pot...totally says spring right? and the best part is that they have pin backs so these babies can be worn on your lapel or vest {squeal} can you stand it!

Ok. well add that to the pom pom list!!!

happy Easter ya'll

Bonnet bunnies

I just had to share the cutest little bunnies ever - which I proudly made - out of those little mini straw hats.

Each with a lightly different look to them.

Actually to be brutally honest - I first forgot which way the pom poms should go } like nose on top or under cheeks.

And then to show you that not everything I try works out - I thought I would share this spooky bunny - to which I thought I would try green eyes - makes him look a little scary, at the very least odd!!!

What do you think? It's a Fun little gift to make and give to teachers & friends.

I am linking this up to the parties above.
