the one about a year...

Not to sound like a broken record but I love scrapbooking and
recently I came up with this cool idea - instead of my  usual paper bag albums which
cover 1 special occasion I created this

a year long paper bag album...to capture a year's worth of growth...
Genius right???

each month has its own 2 page spread
(this is for a girl - that's why there are flowers all over the place)

sweet right?

and its a pretty thick with plenty of room to capture a years worth of growth
of your llittle princess. Wouldn't this make a great gift for a birthday..
I am listing this in my shop...tonight...

I would love to make one for you - email me if your interested.

the one about sewing

I envy people that can sew - especially the people that can quilt and those that can make
clothes...I am in awe of their attention to detail and their versatility. I have wanted to try
and HONE my sewing skills for years now and even have several machines
I even recently bought a serger (STILL UNTOUCHED) but I am
hoping to do something fabulous with it....but for now I will stick to my BASIC
skills and continue making simple things that only require a straight stitch...
like this:
these are super easy and all they require is a straight stitch...I have a
stash of fabric and I LOVE making these banners so much that I make them alot...

Here is one for Christmas or the Holiday season.

I also use some fun and vintage binding & ric rak for the piece that holds them together.

I would love to see your recent sewing project and if you have any links to
easy sewing classes or lessons - I would love to hear about it.

Scrappy Tuesday

My first passion is scrapbooking and has developed into a paper crafting obsession.
I hoard collect paper - and most related or matching embellishments---so I play
alot and I decided to start making scrapbook pages and selling in my EBAY shop

I gotta say that I am about the photos in MY scrapbooking and not so much trying
to compete with the TOP NOTCH scrapbookers - is that bad? I don't think so...

here is one of my most recent layouts...
see here - 2 photos and lots of embellishments

and of course my newest fondness some "punched bits"
see quite simple but still tells the story.

SO here is my first layout that I will be listing soon and I used my own sketch too

there is room for two 4 x 6 photos - stars are my punched bits

I added the cap & the lined paper for journaling and important details.

this is double-sided paper and the stars are on the back of the first page.
so I added the 4 x 6 photos mats and the scroll in the middle.
then the title down the front center & some glitter letters to finish it off.

those are stickers on the scroll

neat right...I will be listing this double sided layout in the next few days
in my EBAY shop...

the one about CARDS

I like making cards but my problem is that I never give them out.
Weird, I know and I know "PEOPLE" usually LOVE handmade cards but
for some strange thing I never give them out...I should totally start.

I have been on this kick to upcycle things, mostly my scraps of paper because
we all know that we CRAFTY CHICAS have tons of little bits piling up.
So recently, I started using my punches to make "EMBELLISHMENTS"
no rhyme or reason to any of it just punching different shapes and piling those up

so recently I did a whole bunch of cards with the base being my "punched bits"
and I gotta toot my own horn and say I LOVE THESE

what do you think?

see how easy - just the stamped image as the centerpiece - copics for coloring - and MY
punched bits---it's enough right?

heehee---love when something works out so well.

have a fabulous night
