2 scrapbooks 1 paper kit

Hey there it’s February and I have been busy making lots of good stuff and I wanted to share how I made to different abumsnusing one paper kit by doodle big designs...

These are the 2 albums I made using one paper kit-the colors are similar but the shapes are different and the themes
are different

This is the small GARDEN TIME 5 x 5 square chipboard album

Different stickers that go with the garden theme

Simple but super cute

Paper flowers in matching colors

Totally fun album and the second one is made with a big and animal theme - made with kids playing in the back yard in mind

Again same color scheme but I used a leaf shaped MDF scrapbook (that I bought at a thrift store)

Left room for photos

Isn’t this the cutest thing ever.

Can’t you see your kids photos with muddy hands in here

I wanted to show you that you can make more then one type of album using one paper kit and believe it or not I have left over paper so I could make some cards or embellishments - I plan on using it all up and make more!!!

Thanks for stopping by folks

These will be listed in the shop today!

the 4th

I wanted to share my newest album which I made just in time for the 4th of July photos that you are currently printing (wink & smile)

I used the paper kit from Doodle Bug Designs and just fell in love with all the papers & matching embellishments.

Cute and cheery right?

I mean really aren't these pages just screaming America?

Love that there are the traditional red, white & blue and then a little bit of my favorite TURQUOISE thrown in!

Perfect color combination.

I have something new to share and hopefully I'll post it tomorrow or friday at the latest.

Come back and see me.

Happy Crafting

New album

Just finished  bunch of new albums and wanted to share this one first

I used the baby mine paper kit by carte Bella

This layout makes me happy. The flowers make it so girly and cute.

It's a gloomy day here in Southern California so the lighting is not great but just imagine soft pastel colors and sweet accents that coordinate.

It's being listed later today in the shop!

Mermaids

My secret fantasy has always been to be swimming in the ocean and running into a beautiful mermaid who speaks to me and gives me secret powers that only I can use and know about.

Now that I am all grown up - I still believe that there are mermaids out there but now-a-days they appear to be cute and sweet and magical sort of like they are pictured here in these 2 albums I just created using the fun papers by
Doodle Bug Designs - called UNDER THE SEA
remember my rule when purchasing scrapbooking supplies?

If possible buy the whole kit when it's available. You just get so much more out of the purchase which is useful when explaining to your husband why you need MORE paper. {wink}

Here is the first album that I made into a paper bag album and the pages tho...

too much cuteness all wrapped in this sweet mini scrapbook.

I mean the colors are so bright and pure happiness

Gah, totally girly, cute and great for swimming photos or summer vacations pics.

This is the 2nd album I created using the same paper kit. This time I made a 6 x 6 chipboard spiral bound album.

How dreamy is this cover?

The accents and die cuts that came with this paper pack are so fun.

Oh hello sweet Mermaid - you look just like I imagined...

If you would like to see the rest of the photos for both of these albums please check out my shop

Rainbows & sunshine

Another example of how I use the HECK out of one paper kit. This is my 3rd album - you can visit my Instagram account (@onecraftymess) to see the other albums I created using the same paper kit...

This is the cover I made using chipboard and o-wires to bind it...

Inside pages are super happy

And cheerful

Great 6 x 6 size too

I live how these all came out and best part is there still so many pieces left over.

I am working on making some cards with the left over pieces.

I'll share them when I am done with those.

I mean doesn't this album just scream HAPPY to you?

Ok so until next time. Happy crafting

Farming

To own a farm has long been a dream of mine. I envy those that live #farmTOtable and long to participate and do the same. However, I live in a suburb where we are so close together that to farm anything is hard. Don't get me wrong around our city there are still a few large farms that are mostly cow farms - but slowly housing developements are taking over - insert sad face...Every year my kids plant seeds and we some growth but because the weather is always so hot and dry in the summer its almost inevitable that they DIE> And we will try again this year. Ok, so what does this have to do with anything???

I recently bought the paper kit called #HeartlandFarm by #AmericanCrafts and it is filled with paper that reminds me of quilts and colors you'd see around a farm house - so I decided to make a sweet chipboard album using the papers and embellishments and devoting the album to those farmers that make what they eat...a tribute of sorts...

Oh how I dream to own such a beautiful red barn...

Happy and colorful papers right?

Not sure canning is my thing nor would it be if I had a farm - I just don't like canned food - or pickled veggies.

flowers - oh flowers how I wish I could grow them.

Fun pages - so that you can document your process or the fun times shared eating the delicious fruits of your labor.

Aren't the pages fun?

Had to send a little love to all the guys out there too - this is my husbands dream owning a John Deer and riding it on our property.

It's not bad to have dreams this late in life right...what would the point of growing old be without a few things to work towards or aim for.

All in all I really want a farm and I look forward to all the hard work of it and enjoying eating clean and living farm to table...

Here's to all the farmers out there - big or small and to all those already living the "GOOD" life.
