2 scrapbooks 1 paper kit

Hey there it’s February and I have been busy making lots of good stuff and I wanted to share how I made to different abumsnusing one paper kit by doodle big designs...

These are the 2 albums I made using one paper kit-the colors are similar but the shapes are different and the themes
are different

This is the small GARDEN TIME 5 x 5 square chipboard album

Different stickers that go with the garden theme

Simple but super cute

Paper flowers in matching colors

Totally fun album and the second one is made with a big and animal theme - made with kids playing in the back yard in mind

Again same color scheme but I used a leaf shaped MDF scrapbook (that I bought at a thrift store)

Left room for photos

Isn’t this the cutest thing ever.

Can’t you see your kids photos with muddy hands in here

I wanted to show you that you can make more then one type of album using one paper kit and believe it or not I have left over paper so I could make some cards or embellishments - I plan on using it all up and make more!!!

Thanks for stopping by folks

These will be listed in the shop today!

Scrapbooking 101 - easy to make

Most of you out there are seasoned scrapbookers but for those of you who may be intimidated by an entire 12 x 12 layout I’m here to help.

I started Scrapbooking over 25 years ago in the usual  12 x 12 layout since then I have started making smaller scrapbooks that I have shared here and ask doing project life...but there are still certain occasions I love to throw down on a piece of paper and document.

Ok so to start grab the photos you want to scrapbook - you can add however many photos you want but I like to keep simple and generally if they are large 4 x 6 photos I like to use an odd number like maybe 3

I have been using my Prynt photo printer or Instagram camera photos for my layouts lately so I chose to use 2 photos for this layout

I found this amazing pad of big die cuts by DCWV so that helped with my idea planning. Then I had to choose my paper

These were the die cuts I chose to go with my 2 photos

Now for choosing my paper

Still not working - if I used the paper below the die cuts would blend in to much

I think I found the paper I’m going to use.

Now play around with your pieces and find a layout you like or looks good to you - don’t worry about will it make it into a magazine - this is for you - something for your kids and their kids to look back on. Stress free

I really wanted to use that small block with the gold palm trees but I could t got it into the layout so it looked good to me so I pulled it out and didnt use it

And here is the finished layout! I love it

Have fun with it and enjoy it - try not to put to much pressure on yourself - make memories not headaches ( wink)

Have fun crafting ya’ll!

Using it all-new paper kit share

I know I probably sound like a broken record but I’m all about using every last bit of items in a paper kit. Sure sometimes there are some small die cuts left over but in the photos below I show you what I made using a normal 6 x 6 paper pad kit

I’m using POOLSIDE by fancy pants designs

This is the first album I made using a pool
Party theme for grown ups

Reminds me of vintage palm beach

Cute right?

I mean can you stand it?

This album uses the same paper kit but I made it more kid friendly.

Sweet

This is my favorite page - the splashes kill me

And using more of the bits I made a matching tag for each album

Love love love how the tags came out - these albums and their coordinating tags are listed in the shop in case your interested .

Now I’m off to the water park - happy summer ya’ll!

National Scrapbooking Day

Good Morning - it’s quite the day - two reasons to celebrate first its NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY & let’s not forget its CINCO DE MAYO - I mean can you stand it?

In homor of the day - I want to share a fun little project I made using left over scrapbooking embellishments - one of my mottos is: use it all

Here are the items you’ll need (by the way these stickers below are bling I bought at the dollar tree) e6000, magnets and round bling

It’s pretty basic - add glue to the back then place on magnet and wait for it to dry! Easy peasy

Here I share a video of all the kings I made with a paper kit and again trying not to waste the scraps

Check back on Instagram for a fun giveaway - it’ll be happening all day today!!!

Have a scrappy good day ya’ll!

the 4th

I wanted to share my newest album which I made just in time for the 4th of July photos that you are currently printing (wink & smile)

I used the paper kit from Doodle Bug Designs and just fell in love with all the papers & matching embellishments.

Cute and cheery right?

I mean really aren't these pages just screaming America?

Love that there are the traditional red, white & blue and then a little bit of my favorite TURQUOISE thrown in!

Perfect color combination.

I have something new to share and hopefully I'll post it tomorrow or friday at the latest.

Come back and see me.

Happy Crafting

Farming

To own a farm has long been a dream of mine. I envy those that live #farmTOtable and long to participate and do the same. However, I live in a suburb where we are so close together that to farm anything is hard. Don't get me wrong around our city there are still a few large farms that are mostly cow farms - but slowly housing developements are taking over - insert sad face...Every year my kids plant seeds and we some growth but because the weather is always so hot and dry in the summer its almost inevitable that they DIE> And we will try again this year. Ok, so what does this have to do with anything???

I recently bought the paper kit called #HeartlandFarm by #AmericanCrafts and it is filled with paper that reminds me of quilts and colors you'd see around a farm house - so I decided to make a sweet chipboard album using the papers and embellishments and devoting the album to those farmers that make what they eat...a tribute of sorts...

Oh how I dream to own such a beautiful red barn...

Happy and colorful papers right?

Not sure canning is my thing nor would it be if I had a farm - I just don't like canned food - or pickled veggies.

flowers - oh flowers how I wish I could grow them.

Fun pages - so that you can document your process or the fun times shared eating the delicious fruits of your labor.

Aren't the pages fun?

Had to send a little love to all the guys out there too - this is my husbands dream owning a John Deer and riding it on our property.

It's not bad to have dreams this late in life right...what would the point of growing old be without a few things to work towards or aim for.

All in all I really want a farm and I look forward to all the hard work of it and enjoying eating clean and living farm to table...

Here's to all the farmers out there - big or small and to all those already living the "GOOD" life.
