Day3-Make It
Ok so far so good (day three-it should be going well) so this MAKE-IT session was not so much of a crafty project in the traditional sense but it was a project.
I decided to make a design decision in my living room. I recently found this really cool but UBER large message center for free at a yard sale...its would and has a large white board and to doors that close that hold cork board (nice corkboard) with some small hanger thingy's and a tray for expo markers...its really big - like I wish I could emphasize the word BIG - and heavy - like it'll crush you to bits if it falls on you heavy. I decided to place that extra large piece in back of me where my crafting space is in the living room. Yup, a major eye sore (luckily my hubs is fine with it) kind of thing...but I know it'll make me so productive.
SO I needed to find a spot for my wall of family photos currently residing on that wall..this is the wall that the photos needed to go to...currently only housing 2 pretty floral paintings...I took those down

Before you wonder how or what schematic I used - seriously I just eyeballed it...and truth be told I took out some nails maybe once or twice - shhhhh
This is a corner wall - which is right next to the fireplace.
Here is a far off view of the first set of photos
Here is the final shot of the corner where the photos now reside. My husband said he liked it a lot better in this spot - looks fuller then it did in the spot behind me.
as you can see the wall behind my workspace was quite large so for those photos - I can see how they may have been floating around in space.
Ok I hope you are taking on the
Make it challenge - Day2
Today's creative paper play was making Artist Trading Cards...I really enjoying making things like this because it is quite quick and easy. I usually make mine using painted or stamped backgrounds and some vintage ephemera. In keeping with the daily creative challenge-I thought I would make some art cards according to the months...I know it seems like I am taking this a bit far but I gotta get in a groove and keep up with my wonderful plan...
I have a few more to share - tomorrow morning...
Didn't quite make the time frame but at least I was MAKING today.
Have a great Friday

365 MAKE IT challenge
I decided to give myself a challenge this year and of course I had to make it a creative challenge. But because I didn't want to make it ONLY a crafty challenge
Good evening-I wanted to do something that would make an impact this year - you know set the mood for a wonderful 2014...so I thought I would give myself a challenge:
I decided to call it the 365 MAKE it challenge.

I decided to call it the 365 MAKE it challenge.
So for the next year I will be "Making" something which can include crafting, sewing, painting or cooking. It's just gotta be MADE by me!
I think this is going to be a good thing, mostly because life gets so crazy that it'll be a positive thing to force myself to do something creative everyday! It'll be a small moment that will be devoted to me to exercise my talents!
If you plan on joining me please leave a comment and I will definitely come check it out. I am hoping to figure out the linky tool and add it here - we'll see.
My first project for January 1, 2014 is a repurposing project which I started today and will get done tomorrow. Here are photos of the piece:
It's a headboard/footboard made into a bench - which I've had for awhile...I painted it white (I'll share the painted piece tomorrow)
ok - so that I have a completed project to share I did make the card above tonight too for some friends that helped us with fan installation today! Cool friends are essential to a happy life!
Let the CHALLENGE begin! Happy new year to you! Please come back and check out my daily posts!
Happy crafting!

Life goes on....
My goodness - this here blog sure has taken a back seat to life, lately. I have begun a new blog over at www.funkyanddamnnearnew.blogspot.com which is more of a blog about my 2nd favorite hobby which is finding and refinishing furniture and re-selling all my do-overs.
I plan on keeping this here blog up and running but if you want to see what else I am up to - you can check in on me over there...
I have been busy making some fun albums. Let me know what you think...

A recipe album...
btw- this use to say LET'S GET {CANNING}
inside pocket page with recipe cards included.
sweet pages ready for photos
this would be a fun gift for someone special or a keepsake of recipes that grandma left you.
Here's a Christmas album I just finished - with some fun colors and accents
I think this album just exudes HAPPINESS and CHEER
The colors are so bright and I love the coordinating accents...
I think this would work for a kids albums but also some hipsters would appreciate it as well.
Would make a great gift or just a place for you to add your photos of Christmas 2013...
I hope your holiday went smoothly and was spent with family & friends and that you have new memories to document.
Happy Holidays
Tina
