Easter Bags

Last year I wasn’t home Easter week and had my husband help my kids decorate Easter eggs. They sent pictures during and after the decorating process, all of which I hated missing. On Easter morning they informed that we didn’t need to do an egg hunt because they were to old for that. I asked them what about the beautiful eggs they decorated and they said they only did it for me.

WAIT WHAT? What’s happening? Are they growing up?
Easter 2017

This year since we will be out of town for Easter - I again mentioned that I was sad about no baskets and they told me that it’s no big deal - all we get is candy anyway so just give it to us in our hands -

For the record - they dont only get candy- they get gift cards and money and something cute plus lots of candy

Anyway because I’m a mom and a crafty chick I decided to make them Easter gift bags  to give to them on Easter morning and I thought maybe you could use the idea for those to old to get Easter Baskets

Here’s what you need
Bags (mine are from @daiso) glue stick and scraps of paper

Cut strips and add to the front of the bags with adhesive

Add a cute little chipboard sticker to the front

Then use stickers to spell out the kids names

Here are some of the things I’m putting inside (not shown is the iTunes gift card)

And here they all are ready to pack - cute right??

By the way - to keep things real here - the idea was on point! However, there was NO room for them in any of our luggage... wah wah wah—-dang it - so I had to give it to them today before we left for the airport - they loved it - I think truthfully they want baskets but THINK they are too old...but this mama will continue to make them something - until forever...

Hope you like the idea and if you use it send me a pic..

Happy Good Friday folks -

LOVEly gift bags

In an effort to be relevant and up to DATE...seeing as I haven't posted anything crafty in a while - I thought I would share my SCRAPPY gift bags that are being used to house all the goodies for my kids for Valentine's Day...

If you scrapbook or card make then you probably have all these items at your home already or some variation.

Things you'll need:

White gift bags (2 for 1.00 at dollar tree)

scrapbook paper,

adhesive, chipboard letters, tags

I cut some free hand hearts out of the scrapbook paper and adhered them to the bags in an overlap pattern

I used papers from K & Co - so these papers and the tags were all part of the same coordinating kit and come double sided so use less paper that way.

Those white chipboard letters didn't pop enough for me so I spray painted them with red paint then just added them to the front of the bag and used some fun bakers twine for the tag to hang of the side.
I think the "GIFT bag" came out pretty darn cool...can't wait to fill it and give it!

I'll let you know what their reaction is....

Happy Valentine's Day

TRICK OR TREAT

I just LOVE Halloween - not to mention the season it falls in. LOVE....in prepping for the show that I am a part of this weekend I have been making & creating cool Halloween goodies. Here is one of them. While you may think WTH is this for - maybe there is someone you need to give a Halloween pick - me - up or perhaps a bag of candy to that someone special.
Hey maybe you have a Halloween Birthday - anyway its a cute gift bag and all it uses is some scraps.

sweet and incredibly useful and small enough to make it easy to fill yet big enough to hold
just enough candy.

Just take some fun scraps (literally pieces of left over scrapbooking paper)
cut them up into fun shapes and lay them out in a nice little layout.

add some cut-outs (these are by K & CO) they are glittery too. and a fun stiff bow and
filler up!

I would be tickled pink if I got this fun SWEET HALLOWEEN gift bag filled with some wicked LOOT!
How about you?
