Let’s play with Stickers

Hey there  - I wanted to share another crafty girl idea!!!

I am a scrapbooker and buy a lot of paper kits. If it’s a really good kit you’ll get paper, journaling cards, die cute and lots of stickers all coordinated beautifully!!!

So what usually happens is after I have made 1, usually two scrapbooks I have some left over paper and lots of die cuts and stickers left over and I have previously shared ways to make cards using the left over paper and some embellishments this time I’m sharing how to make some sweet greeting cards with just the stickers.

An easy way to really accent the cards I think, is by using the Kraft cards - they are already colored so the stickers will pop - as you can see in the above card.

As you can see from the sticker sheet above - I used a bunch of the stickers in my albums and these stickers are so versatile that I used several together on the card fronts and look how beautiful...don’t throw away or store away left overs - keep them grouped by collection and when you are bored sit down and place some stickers in a nice flow, make a bunch and you can stock up on cards and be ready to give them when the occasion arrives.

Because everyone knows handmade is better then store bought 😀

Playing with scraps

Recently I made up a mini scrapbook for a baby boy using some fun papers by Pebbles Inc. and I had these small scraps left over. If you are anything like me you know that its a real dilemma to throw away designer paper, then you tend to hoard those scraps and well the pile grows and grows and soon you have paper bit coming out of everywhere and sometimes even finding a home on your work space floor...hate that!

This time the paper was exceptionally cute so I decided to make up some cards with them and best part is that they are similar but not identical.'

Aren't the colors on this card the sweetest?

And just by changing the scrap pieces and the stickers you get another sweet card

Here they are next to each other so you can see how they resemble each other ---
I am totally loving the colors on these cards

I will sharing these in the following challenges:

Say Cheese

Ordered this kit months ago and I guess due to its popularity took forever to arrive but man once I got it - I went to town!

I made 2 back to back double sided layouts, 4 cards, 1 mini 4 x 4 paper bag album and 1 project life like chipboard album!

And I have lots left over! I'll be sharing the rest of the items I made over the next few days! The first thing I want to share is this card - that I think would be fun to give to someone who is being surprised with a Disneyland or Disney world trip!!! It's super cute and totally obvious. - what do you think?

CARDS CARDS CARDS!!!

I promised new cards and here they are - again these ones used some new stamps I got at Michael's last week - that are to me the Perfect sentiment and could work on the front (like I used them) or on the inside...

again I used the Basic Grey paper pad and embellishments that I had left over from Mondays cards.

I think they are clean and simple and could work for either a guy or girl...

crafty weekend

I love when I can craft uninterrupted - you know and really get stuff done. Well, I guess I should clarify...I have a houseful of kids and a husband to care for - so I don't mean completely uninterrupted but when my brain is uninterrupted I can work so freely and really crank out my stuff. Sometimes I get those bursts of crafty mojo - where everything I pull out paper, stickers, flowers all seem to come together so nicely take for instance these scrapbook pages

I used a new paper pack from American Crafts and had some fun embellishments from a basic grey paper kit on the table and all of sudden these 2 pages were made -

aren't they the cutest?

ok so then I had some miscellaneous chipboard stickers left and decided to make some cards and just like that - with a whistle in my step I made 5 cards...

here's the first of the 5:

no stamping, just a little ink for the edges, a lone flower + basic grey chipboard HELLO sticker and in another blink of my eye a sweet card.

I just love creative spurts like this - wait till you see the other cards...cuteness x 100%

hope you have a crafty week and get tons of stuff done...

Playing princess

I got the coolest paper kit by Imaginese - the Little Princess collection and the papers are fun and pink & purple and just happy. I have made several things with this kit and used up the paper and most of all the embellishments that came with the kit. Here is a card I made using the papers & some prima flowers

the paper came with it and so did the focal piece with the unicorn as well as the bling and I added the prima flowers.

Gotta tell you I totally love this card and think it could work for a birthday card or just for a pick me up for a grown up!

Here's to believing in MAGIC - I mean why NOT.

Butterflies aplenty

Ever feel like life is REALLY good. Think "What have I done to deserve this Life." Is that weird - I mean I know it sounds really obnoxious and NO I don't always feel that way but right now, today, this past week - I feel like life is really going smoothly. I feel really greatful and truly happy.
I made some cards to reflect my mood...

Aren't they sweet and aren't the colors beautiful. Oh and the butterflies just my idea of what true happiness is represented by...

I truly hope your life is on an upward tilt and things are extremely going your way.

Wishing you a happy weekend.

Hope you are having a wonderful day what ever you are doing. I am busy cleaning up the house and cooking up some fun treats for Easter Sunday lunch while sticking with my quest to make MORE handmade cards I did make  a few more.
Here is one that I am quite fond of. I like to use my rubber stamps but because I am a scrapbooker first and foremost - I always have a bunch of embellishments left over from paper kits and love when I can use them for cards. As is the case here.

I am linking this card up to the following challenges:

Playing with paper - again

I am really digging these new paper kits that I have been quietly hoarding buying {wink wink} I just started to use some new stamps by My Favorite Things and thought that the sentiment went well with one of the Dear Lizzy cameras in her embellishment kit went superbly well together.
