Let’s play with Stickers

Hey there  - I wanted to share another crafty girl idea!!!

I am a scrapbooker and buy a lot of paper kits. If it’s a really good kit you’ll get paper, journaling cards, die cute and lots of stickers all coordinated beautifully!!!

So what usually happens is after I have made 1, usually two scrapbooks I have some left over paper and lots of die cuts and stickers left over and I have previously shared ways to make cards using the left over paper and some embellishments this time I’m sharing how to make some sweet greeting cards with just the stickers.

An easy way to really accent the cards I think, is by using the Kraft cards - they are already colored so the stickers will pop - as you can see in the above card.

As you can see from the sticker sheet above - I used a bunch of the stickers in my albums and these stickers are so versatile that I used several together on the card fronts and look how beautiful...don’t throw away or store away left overs - keep them grouped by collection and when you are bored sit down and place some stickers in a nice flow, make a bunch and you can stock up on cards and be ready to give them when the occasion arrives.

Because everyone knows handmade is better then store bought 😀

It's that time again.

It's August and already I am prepping for the FALL. Which Don't know about you but FALL, Autumn and Halloween are hands down my favorite season of the year.

So to get things stated I made a few albums and some sweet cards that I  wanted to share them with you...
Here is one of the cards, nice right?

How fun and cozy is this album? I love it.

Here is another card -
looking at these colors get me all happy inside because I am counting the days
until the leaves change and the weather cools down...

Just wanted to stop in real quick and share some fun new projects I am working on.

Let's be Mermaids

Ok, I know I sound like I am harping but seriously - here is another example of all the great things you can create with one entire KIT - this Kit is by Echo Park and is called Let's be Mermaids! Because who doesn't secretly want to become a mermaid? ME!!!

Sorry the photos are a bit out of order but this set of cards was made using all the cut scraps and left over stickers from the kit. Seriously just pieces of paper and left over stickers or die cuts from the kit - this photo should be last in the order

I usually always start with mini albums (paper bag albums to be precise)
so here is my first album - I absolutely love the cute little mermaid on the front...cuteness

Here is the second album I made using the same paper from the kit.

I also had extra journaling and die cut cards left so I made this cute "Project Life" inspired Mermaid themed double sided layout...
front

Back

Because afterall it could be filled with all the wonderful summer swim photos we take of our kids in the pool or at the beach or perhaps playing dress-up!

I also made 1 double-sided layout and 1 single sided layout - which I will share later - I have been having trouble loading my photos so I am looking around for those 2 photos and will share them as soon as they are down loaded ---

Anyway, again see my logic when buying kits...and in case you are wondering I get all my kits from these three online shops

Making the most

I am sure we all have our obssesions - you know those of you that love Diet Coke, those of you that eat chocolate daily or those that spend every free moment at the gym...well I have a severe obssesion with PAPER...mostly paper kits if I can get them. By kits I mean the paper pad (preferably 12 x 12) and the embellishments, stickers, chipboard and die cuts. I like to have the whole collection and fore the most part I use it all - there are always a few bits left over but then you can make cards or other art projects.

Recently I bought the new kit called SNOW DAY? by Pebbles Inc. and it only came with the 6 x 6 paper pad which had 36 papers, yes thats alot but 24 designs? I know - weird, I like 2 of each design always it makes for better coverage when I am making my albums...but I digress It also came with washi tape, dies, stickers and chipboard stickers...lots to play with. Here is what I was able to make with the whole kit...

2 albums - same colors but different themes - I think those princesses are from Frozen but I could be wrong - I was also able to make some cards with the left over bits

Cute right? Different but similar - as you can tell I still need to add some sentiments to the fronts. But all in all they came out cute right? I have maybe a few sheets of paper left and lots of little die cuts left for more ideas to come later.

There you have it...always use up your goodies and get the most out of all your paper kits.

Have a great crafty week.

Making cards

I have been busy making scrapbooks and had a bunch of fun scraps of paper from the new Dear Lizzy collection and decided to play around with them and created a few new cards, here's the first card I made using the papers and some fun little 3-d embellishments for the 2.00 bin at michael's

I think I am in love. You know what I like best is that it's mismatched and the patterns are all over the place (it's a first for me) I usually try and coordinate everything, but I think that pop of black really brings it all together! I dig it!

I am linking this up to these challenges:
