back to it - day 33

Sticking to my "crafting" roots - I wanted to start this year scrapbooking again. At least attempt to stay on track with it - so I made a Valentine's Day page - Used some fun embellishments and some vintage pieces too.

just added some fun little tim holtz chit chat stickers to a film roll accent

a paper punched butterfly

some gold cricut letters

and only added one photo mat - for one very important picture.

I'm liking it - how about you? If you want it it's in my ETSY store - link is on the left side.

Hope you had a crafty weekend.

Project life

Oh my - time has flown by. Project life has taken a back seat but I am finally done crafting for bizness and now can enjoy what I love to do and that is to play with paper and scrapbook and paint and just create - FOR me...

I have been taking pictures with the intent to scrap them...so here I am sharing a few pages that pretty much share the past 2 months - September & October & the beginning of November - yowzers - what a jumbled mess...but I really wanted to stay on top of this so I will carry on...

here you go

October

I really want to work on adding some fun accents to my pics and to take better pics of these pages because they always look so dark - but of course in the interest of getting Project Life caught up - this is what you get sometimes...

Quick and easy and NO FUSS - is all life has time for.

Hope you are having better luck with your Project Life albums..

a layout

I know we all say that we want to scrapbook more and I am one of those people but this year I have made some attempts to make more layouts not quite as many as I hoped but this week over at
scrapping every day miracles - their challenge was to find the beauty and scrap it...

here is my interpretation of that call...
I took this photo around 3 years ago on our way up to santa barbara at
EL CAPITAN BEACH during one of many summer time trips - it's a lovely beach and has lots of rocks and I think this photo came out wonderfully. I love the stillness of it and the clear shot of the seagull...

I added some fun hexagons???chipboard stickers from Girls paperie to the bottom of the layout
and the top and pretty much kept the layout clean and simple....

The thought behind the layouts - was seeing the beauty...journaling

I have been noticing things like birds and butterflies that seem to follow me when I least expect it and I have decided that they are signs from my mom and brother who are in heaven watching down on me and my family. I try and find the beauty or the signs in things more so lately...may seem a bit contrite but it's how I get through things...

Scrappy Tuesday

My first passion is scrapbooking and has developed into a paper crafting obsession.
I hoard collect paper - and most related or matching embellishments---so I play
alot and I decided to start making scrapbook pages and selling in my EBAY shop

I gotta say that I am about the photos in MY scrapbooking and not so much trying
to compete with the TOP NOTCH scrapbookers - is that bad? I don't think so...

here is one of my most recent layouts...
see here - 2 photos and lots of embellishments

and of course my newest fondness some "punched bits"
see quite simple but still tells the story.

SO here is my first layout that I will be listing soon and I used my own sketch too

there is room for two 4 x 6 photos - stars are my punched bits

I added the cap & the lined paper for journaling and important details.

this is double-sided paper and the stars are on the back of the first page.
so I added the 4 x 6 photos mats and the scroll in the middle.
then the title down the front center & some glitter letters to finish it off.

those are stickers on the scroll

neat right...I will be listing this double sided layout in the next few days
in my EBAY shop...
